VASE Construction is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to lead commercial, healthcare, institutional, municipal, housing, and real estate development projects throughout Connecticut. Working closely with the Project Manager, you'll be responsible for planning, field execution, subcontractor coordination, quality, safety, scheduling, project controls, and client satisfaction. This is a leadership position for someone who takes ownership, thinks ahead, solves problems, and delivers exceptional projects.

Primary Responsibilities
Plan & Execute
Plan work 2 weeks ahead, anticipate challenges, and implement recovery plans.
Verify existing conditions, coordinate trades, and protect completed work to minimize rework and delays.
Manage daily field operations, site logistics, manpower, safety, quality, and project schedules.
Lead & Communicate
Lead weekly trade coordination meetings focused on upcoming work, unresolved issues, and accountability.
Issue same-day meeting minutes with action items and responsibilities.
Prepare daily reports, maintain Procore documentation, and communicate project risks proactively.
Prepare and follow up with RFIs and submittals.
Meet weekly with the Project Manager to review schedules, RFIs, submittals, procurement, billing, change orders (PCOs), and project priorities.
Financial & Project Controls
Verify completed work quantities and support accurate monthly requisitions by the 20th.
Identify, document, and track potential change orders before work proceeds.
Review change orders (PCOs) and requisition for accuracy and fairness before presenting to Project Accountant and Project Manager.
Help manage General Conditions, project logistics, temporary protection, and field resources efficiently.
Quality & Closeout
Inspect work before subsequent trades begin and promptly resolve deficiencies.
Coordinate punch lists, closeout documentation, owner training, and project turnover.
Ownership
Take full ownership of project execution from pre-construction scope reviews, and mobilization through closeout.
Protect the Owner's interests, VASE's reputation, and project profitability by identifying risks early and bringing practical solutions.
Qualifications
5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial, healthcare, institutional, municipal, housing, or public construction.
Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, building systems, scheduling, and subcontractor management.
Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction scheduling software.
OSHA 30 Certification preferred.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
