VASE Construction is seeking an Estimator / Project Engineer to support our growing Construction Management (CM), General Contracting (GC), and Owner's Project Management (OPM) portfolio throughout Connecticut.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both preconstruction and project delivery. You'll assist with estimating, bid procurement, and proposal development while supporting Project Managers during construction with submittals, RFIs, document control, closeout, and project coordination.

Primary Responsibilities
Estimating & Preconstruction
Search and identify qualified CM, GC, and OPM opportunities.
Download, organize, and distribute bid documents.
Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare bid packages.
Solicit subcontractor pricing and track bid coverage.
Assist with estimates, proposals, and value engineering.
Maintain the CRM pipeline and preconstruction database.
Project Engineering
Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, ASIs, and change orders.
Support project scheduling, procurement, and document control.
Assist with pay applications, closeout documents, and O&M manuals.
Maintain Procore and project documentation.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Owners, Architects, and Subcontractors.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2–5 years of estimating, project engineering, or construction management experience.
Experience reading construction drawings and specifications.
Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, On-Screen Takeoff/PlanSwift (or similar estimating software).
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
